Dignis ARCA, HAKO, and WM1 leather bag

Classic One – NW MW1 Leather bag.

($132 bag only, $177 bag + case, Dignis store)

This bonus review could be considered as Part 2 of my original write up about Sony WM1Z/1A MIDAS and WALKMAN cases I posted not too long ago HERE. I decided to include it in this review with Dignis earphone cases because I find it quite original as well. I use MIDAS case with WM1Z all the time, and if I want something fancy, I switch to WALKMAN case which always grabs the attention. This leather bag by itself works perfectly with MIDAS case if you already got one. If you don’t, for $45 more you can get the leather bag with a case included. It doesn’t have the exact same finish as MIDAS, this optional case has a shinier finish, but it’s an identical design, high quality leather, and only cost $45 instead of MIDAS which is $90 standalone. So, it’s more cost efficient to buy bag with a case, if you don’t have one already.

Included with a basic package is the leather bag, leather shoulder strap, and warranty card. As I mentioned above, optionally you can add a leather case (the same design as MIDAS, with identical port openings and imprinted control buttons), which also comes with a screen protector film and a detailed user guide which includes helpful hints how to remove the case. The bag itself will add some bulk to a DAP since you have a case and a bag on top of it, bringing the exterior dimensions to 85mm (W) x 140mm (L) x 40mm (H), but it’s only a little bit bigger than a case. Also, bag by itself weight 194g, while together with a case it’s 228g, though with a shoulder strap the extra weight is not as noticeable since you don’t have to carry it in your hand.

A few important things to note. Bag by itself can’t be used with WM1x without a case. It fits MIDAS case perfectly. The bag has a very secure fit with a case, like a glove, and its imprinted buttons can control WM1Z/1A through the bag and the case without taking the DAP out. So, when you are walking around and want to change the volume or skip the track, you just press the buttons imprinted on the bag. Due to its tight fit, the wrist strap of the DAP doesn’t fit, which is fine since the idea here to carry WM1Z/A over your shoulder. Also, you can charge WM1x without taking the DAP out since there is an opening at the bottom that aligns with a case opening of the DAP WM port.

The leather shoulder strap is adjustable, has the same high quality as the bag, and has a secure attachment. Another interesting feature, the bag has a magnetic flip cover with recessed pockets to fit 4 microSD cards. The pockets are recessed so it doesn’t come in contact with a display, and the flip cover actually protects it from accidental bumps and scratches. The only thing I wish if they would include some extra pockets, maybe for a credit card, a driver license, and some cash. Also, not sure if it’s possible, but would have been cool to have an optional pocket for IEMs, to store it while on the go.
